The Riverside housing along the river Akerselva in Oslo is now completed.
The lines of the housing block is a continuation of the surrounding buildings. Faceted corners of the building mute the volume effect and define an transition from the urban landscape towards the river.
The canopy of an old birch at the site is framed by the largest of the angled corners, facing south.
